April 24th, a bit past 10PM… this would be about the 50th heavy rainy downpour,
of this day so far, and the thunder with its very great roar is very close by!
Our unusual Rainy Season has begun!

From the drought pulled through last month,
to these now daily torrential downpours… betcha I know what Noah was thinking>>> How wet can it get and anybody seen that bimini guy yet?

If maybe, in the past, all it took, was 40 days and 40 nights, just as well I’m up the hill, what have we got left, another 30 days?

Ah, it will never happen again, right? Of course not! Ya right!

We made it through 2012…
so how wet can it get?

Hmm, and it just so happens to be… the full moon time as well. We’ll see!

March 2013… this is our mimbilized tuneage of the season, as we slip in & out of our summer’s 30°C’s & back into our 20′s here. It’s still an awesome summer here in New Zealand and the

biggest ever recorded drought with water reserves very low, makes you wonder, our sub-tropical shores continually turning a dried out brown and no rain in sight, yet as Meg & I venture by the sea with our smiles daily, the sea still remains blue.

Call it what you may, a bit eccentric maybe, but I think it’s going to become a necessity for massive desalination programs to be set in place for Auckland & other places here on our New Zealand shores, as if these dry summer seasons continue, it’s only a matter of time before they are going to run out of water… of course that’s simply my opinion, coming from a bit of a Buccaneers point of view, and of course I’d like broker that deal.

Meanwhile, my 1st mate Privateer DaMeggie Oe & I are enjoying the remainders of this summer & we hope you are too!

The Southern Trust Classic Yacht Regatta 2013 in Auckland, NZ, was set to sail and sailed it did through the weekend of the 8th to the 10th… all were such lovely boats and those of you I met, a fine lot of wonderful sailors you are!

Outside the Viaduct Events Centre, this weekend, there were so many eye catching classic yachts to be seen, and many moored up alongside the wharfs there and in between they were out racing on the Hauraki Gulf, the most spectacular sights to see! The Southern Trust Classic Yacht Regatta 2013.
