I remember a day I was once 12, bit of a ways back now, anyways, today it’s our 12th month, December 12, 2012 and listening to lots of chit chat about the 21st coming up this month, I realize every person I hear and speak to all agree, it’s best to make peace by the 21st of this month, and that seems like a mighty fine idea to me.
Been a bit quiet since last month but we’re never far away, we’re still here & Meg’s having fun!
LIFE is still coming at us, it’s mid November 2012, so what’s headed for us next? Who knows! There’s something different everyday now, and each more intense than the last.
We had a solar eclipse here in NZ on the 14th Nov and apparently the antarctic continent is growing. I can imagine that eclipse would have chilled us a few degrees that day… it is rather unusually cold here right now and it should be barreling on into our summer already, but it’s not so far, just the same, we’re still here and I can’t help but ponder the end of that Aztec calender.
So what’s next?
Sandy in the US, now past, was such a Bitch, the Perfect Storm II…
I hear they are still adding up the expense on that massive clean-up.

spectators of this extraordinary show!
Our gorgeous New Zealand shores are now feeling the temperatures reaching back into the mid 20′s °C here… 
summer’s licking at our heels & with this month’s full moon less than a day away, we’re well onto our way into the finals of 2012!
Last week, the south island of NZ went from 23 °C, to snow the next day & this week the east coast of the US is bracing itself for Frankenstorm, the Perfect Storm II, officially named Sandy…
she’s such a Bitch, as she wreaks havoc all the way up their eastern seaboard, and major snowfalls slicing into the Great Lakes regions, and then yesterday was a Tsunami warning from BC on Canada’s west coast, from tremors underground, which sent a tsunami slicing its way headlong towards Hawaii at speeds over 600 mph… it was spared this time, and we were too, here on our southern shores.
What a cracker of a year this 2012′s been, still filling it up and there’s still a ways to go!

Auckland, 16 June 2012, temperature overnight fell to a low of 1°C. Sub tropical paradise my ass! Brief showers were expected in the West too, woo, that would have meant snow up in the hills
here where I live & I did say it would be a cold day in Hell before it snows out here,
but it didn’t happen, but… it still may happen yet
during our 2012!
New Zealand likes to boast it’s a sub tropical paradise, which it is, even with its seasonal unseasonables too, but right now, please, somebody close the door, it’s getting cold in here!
It’s any wonder we’re not a big ice block like our neighbor below!
Take a look at this perspective… left click on the photo and you’ll understand how our temperatures can drop so suddenly, and days later, with some winds from the north, back to our sub tropicals!
